Your Our Lady Family wishes each of you success and happiness as
you begin your high school years!
At the school
liturgy on May 29, Mr. and Mrs. Reese were formally recognized
for their many years of service to Our Lady (27 and 22 years
respectively) as they retire at the end of this school year.
Sacks was the main celebrant of the Mass and concelebrant was
Monsignor Alfred Schlert, Diocesan Vicar General and former
student of both Mr. and Mrs. Reese when they taught at St.
Jane's many years ago. Monsignor Sacks presented them each with
a specially engraved trophy and a monetary gift from the parish.
Other presentations were made by the Home and School president,
Mrs. Rochelle Jones, which included poems, flowers, gifts, and
the special memento of fingerprints in the shape of hearts from
each student in the school. In addition, the fifth through
eighth grade students sang "You'll Be In My Heart" from the
Disney movie, Tarzan, with lyrics specially written to
honor both Mr. and Mrs. Reese.
With great emotion,
Mr. Reese thanked the entire school community for their support
and love, especially thanking Monsignor Sacks for inviting him
to serve as principal in 1988, and Mrs. Reese for her loving
support as they made Our Lady part of their
