On the Early Childhood Level (K-3) children have opportunities to be involved with parents, grandparents, other students in the school, as well as community servants in a variety of activities. On the intermediate (4-5-6) and upper levels (7-8) the emphasis shifts from family-centered activities to peer-centered activities. However, there are still opportunities for family-student interaction.
Our Lady students participate in a variety of religious, cultural, and athletic opportunities throughout the school year.
Students attend Mass as a body on Fridays and Holy Days. Sacramental preparation for First Communion and First Reconciliation takes place in second grade and eighth graders are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The school choir and bell choir are part of the parish music ministry. Boys and girls in sixth through eighth grades are eligible to be altar servers, with eighth grade students also serving as sacristans for school liturgies.
In addition to a variety of CYO programs at the elementary level including soccer, cross country, track and field, basketball, and volleyball, Our Lady students have the opportunity to participate in softball, volleyball, basketball, and football as Little Hawks (Bethlehem Catholic High School) and Little Crusaders (Notre Dame High School) as part of their feeder programs.
Academic and Cultural
Academic activities include Mathcounts and Academic Bowl for grades 7 and 8 as well as spelling bees and National Geography Bee for grades 4 through 8,
In addition to a vibrant performing arts organization, The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Glee and Drama Club, students also have the opportunity to participate in instrumental band (grades 4 - 8). They are also encouraged to try out for parts in theatrical productions put on by Bethlehem Catholic and Notre Dame High Schools.
Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting are available as parish organizations.
