Mrs. Swank has been working with students through social work and education for the past 15 years. During the summer of 2022, she joined the dedicated staff at Our Lady of Perpetual Help as the part-time Academic Support teacher for grades 5-8.

Mrs. Swank graduated with a B.S. in Human Services from Geneva College. She continued her studies and obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. After marriage and a relocation to New Jersey, she paused her social work career and began teaching. She was a special education teacher in the New York City school system and obtained her Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University through the New York City Teaching Fellows Program.

Upon her return to Pennsylvania, Mrs. Swank worked briefly as a special education teacher. Transitioning back to social work, after the birth of her son, Eli, she worked in foster care and adoption and as a counselor to students attending cyber schools.

Mrs. Swank is excited to return to education and work in the same school that her son attends. When she is not at OLPH, she is the part-time staff at her church as the Administrator of Youth Programming. In her spare time, Mrs. Swank enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and being outside. She is an avid reader!
