Mrs. Villani has been teaching art for Catholic schools since 2003. Before joining Our Lady in 2004, she taught at St. Francis of Assisi and St. Elizabeth. In 2008, she had the opportunity to teach at St. Michael the Archangel School and Our Lady. Since 2021 she has been teaching solely at Our Lady and she is our main substitute teacher for the Extended Care Program at our school.
Mrs. Villani earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education from Kutztown University. She completed 30 Graduate credits toward a Masters in Art Education at Kutztown University. While teaching in the Diocese, she obtained her certification as a Master Catechist. Mrs. Villani began her teaching experience in 1977 in the Southern Lehigh School District, where she had taught for 7 years. She also taught art through the Aspire Summer Program in the Bethlehem Area School District for 5 summers. While home raising her children, she taught semi private and private art lessons in her home for 28 years.
Mrs. Villani has been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish since 1984. She enjoys teaching and she has a strong, Catholic faith. She loves to be able to educate the students in the arts, correlate our Faith in the lessons and share our Faith with the students each day. She admires how her students begin with a directive, develop, and place a personal spin on the idea and end up with a creative master art piece. There is such a positive, happy atmosphere among the students, faculty and staff at Our Lady. This positive atmosphere begins at the top and filters down to the faculty, staff and students.
She has two wonderful children and four grandchildren. In her free time, Mrs. Villani enjoys painting, drawing and craftwork. She also enjoys baking, working in the garden, going to historical museums or events, taking long walks and most of all spending time with family.
