Mrs. Kohler has been teaching in the Diocese of Allentown for over 30 years. She spent her first 8 years teaching first grade at St. Elizabeth Regional School in Whitehall. She has been teaching kindergarten at Our Lady for more than 25 years. She loves to work at Our Lady because she can view God’s world through the eyes of a five year old. It is with great joy that she can help them explore, grow and develop new skills during their year in Kindergarten.
Mrs. Kohler received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood in 1983 from Bloomsburg University. She attended Catholic grade school and high school. She always wanted to teach in a Catholic School because she loves sharing her faith with her students in every subject throughout the day. She continues taking classes and attending workshops to keep her up to date with all that is new in education, technology and Kindergarten.
She has been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish since 1998. She is a member of the Early Childhood Council for the Allentown Diocese. She is the Headteacher at Our Lady and she has collaborated as the Middle States Chairwoman during our school's accreditation self evaluation.
Mrs. Kohler’s husband, Bud is a high school special education teacher at Phillipsburg High School. They have been married for over 35 years. She is a Mom of two grown children who graduated from Our Lady and Notre Dame High School. She loves to spend time with family and friends, traveling, going to the theater, watching basketball games, sitting on the beach, cooking, and reading. She works hard to stay healthy for her family and her students by exercising and eating well. She attended many special activities at Our Lady as a young girl while her cousins attended our school. Little did she know back then that she would one day call this her "home away from home".
