Mrs. McHugh is employed by the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 and serves as a remedial teacher five days a week at Our Lady since 2015. She is dual certified as a K-6 elementary teacher and a K-12 Reading Specialist. Mrs. McHugh provides small group remedial instruction to students in need of additional academic support. Before joining our school, Mrs. McHugh taught first grade and Remedial Reading. She has been in the field for over 30 years.
Mrs. McHugh received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University. She also earned a Reading Specialist Certificate from the same university.
Her favorite part about teaching is seeing a student's face when reading a word for the first time. Mrs. McHugh enjoys reading about the science of baking. She enjoys baking for her family and friends!
