Guided by Faith, OLPH Teachers Inspire Us

Catholic school teachers are inspired by their love for the children and their love for God. They teach not for monetary benefits, but out of a heartfelt dedication to their students.

One of the major components of The Fund for OLPH is providing support for our teachers. The more the fund grows financially, the more we can dedicate resources to teacher development and retention.

Our teachers go above and beyond, dedicating extra hours to support students-arriving early, giving up breaks, and spending their own money to create a welcoming classroom. They do all of this without complaint, showing true commitment and care.

Tuition typically covers only a portion of the school's operating costs. Schools incur many hidden costs beyond their operating budgets, from providing food for students without lunch, to covering daily medical supplies like bandages and medications.

Extracurricular activities, like revitalizing our drama club, can also be expensive. Costs for play rights, student needs, and production expenses are supported by the generosity of families and additional school funds. Their performance was inspiring to many and spread joy to the whole school community! When you give, you enrich the student experience.

Most financial assistance is provided through the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation, but that is not able to cover our full need. For students who may require more, the fund will help minimize the gap.

With this funding, we can also offer student recruitment and family retention efforts, such as transfer grants and other incentives.
